This is a pair of Grand Cayman Amazon Parrots (subspecies of the Cuban Amazon Parrot) right behind my house. They are a talkative Amazon, quite rare on these islands. Cayman Brac is home to the rarer still Cayman Brac Amazon (quieter, one inch shorter). They are lovely birds and it's a real joy to hear them in the morning (and evenings!). It was overcast on this day and the clouds diffused the light to - well, a kind of photographic perfection.
